WE BELIEVE IN Yahweh the Father, Almighty Maker of heaven and earth, and in Yeshua the Messiah His unique Son, our Master. He was conceived from the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Miriam, lived a sinless life according to Torah, and preached the Good News of the Kingdom. He suffered and died as the ransom price for our sin, was resurrected on the third day for our justification, and is now the High Priest of Yahweh in the heavenly tabernacle. Eternal life is this: knowing the Father and His Son, made possible by the gift of the Holy Spirit, a new heart and mind. After this gift, the believer is given the ability to follow Yahweh's holy law. Following this law is the inevitable fruit of justification.
This ministry began around the year 2000, and I (Matthew Janzen) have been a pastor-teacher since about 2005. My goal is to study the entire Bible diligently, and then teach what I learn in a way that is easy to understand and edifying for people of all ages. That's not always a simple task, but with Yahweh's grace, mercy, and guidance, I believe it is being accomplished even if on a small scale. I seek to serve Yahweh and serve others. I fall so short of that in my life, but that is my desire and goal. I love to love people; I love to love and I hate to hate.
I've been happily married to my wife Tisha since January of 1998, and she (my better half for sure) has been helping me as a husband and father ever since. At 25 years later, we have 5 children (plus our 4 oldest are married now) and 5 grandchildren. We believe that everyone in our family should seek Yahweh first and foremost, and then have a focus upon being a family unit. We also practice home education, homesteading, and a lot of love and forgiveness.
I absolutely love the congregation I shepherd. Every member is important, no matter what part of the body they are. We are small but strong, little but many big hearts. Without the family of |
Yahweh I could not do what I do. Without their encouragement and love we wouldn't exist as a fellowship. Within our congregation there are people from all backgrounds. Neither I, nor any of the other brothers who teach, are interested in forcing our beliefs on anyone. We want people to listen intently, study Scripture for themselves, and establish a system of faithfulness in their own life. We teach that the essentials of the faith are knowing the Father and the Son (Deuteronomy 6:4; John 14:6; 17:3), law and gospel (Psalm 19:7-11; 1 Corinthians 15:1-5), and desiring to live a sanctified life (John 14:15; Galatians 5:13-26). If people have received these essentials from Scripture, we welcome them into the congregation no matter what stage or level of understanding they are at. We all plant and water each other, but in His time, Yahweh gives the increase in a person's life.
